Fresh ingredients: rule #1 of cooking Slice the meat into thin, strips Fat = flavor, but keep it to a reasonable amount and trim the beef Shake, shake, shake! Shake to coat all of the beef -- 30-45 seconds should do it. End product -- lightly coated fresh meat. Wash everything in cold water Slice into even sizes to ensure even cooking Use real butter, good olive oil and any decent bottle of wine that you've let breathe for 30 minutes Heat up olive oil and toss in some butter Cook the coated beef on high heat Beef cooking -- oh, the aroma! Continue cooking on high heat until nicely browned on the outside Remove from heat and set aside Sautee and cook down the mushrooms On medium heat, cook down the onions and mushrooms Toss in the meat you had set aside Stir and mix the concoction completely until heated through Pour in beef stock or water.
